Mission and Programs

Mission

Improve Metro Atlanta animal programs and capabilities by directing resources to programs in response to local animal needs. The Atlanta Animal Alliance provides a critical link between funding from people who care about homeless animals and progressive animal programs that safeguard their lives.

Programs

Project CatSnip - a low cost mobile spay-neuter program for cat. We spay-neuter 6,500 cats a year. Since launching CatSnip in 2002, over 40,000 cats have been spayed and neutered saving countless lives. CatSnip is a model program in the USA.

WellPet Humane - Atlanta's animal charity clinic that offers affordable veterinary services. No animal should ever have to suffer in pain or die because their caretaker does not have the funds available to get the necessary veterinary care to save its life. We serve people that are financially struggling, rescues and shelters. We hope to one day end "economic euthanasia."

The LifeSaver Fund - the goal of LifeSaver Fund is to provide a means for people to support our work and help animals in need without financial means.

PawTrax A lost pet recovery program for the 20-county Atlanta, GA region.

PetWise - Humane Education throughout Metro Atlanta.

Celebrate Animals - This is the largest animal event in Atlanta that offers one day for animal people to come together and celebrate our best friends.

Balance Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2006

Note: The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive, but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
